Onecheq Solutions Limited (Onecheq, us, we, our) are committed to protecting your personal information. Onecheq is required to comply with the Privacy Act 2020 (Privacy Act) and this privacy statement explains how we collect, store, use, and share your personal information.

By using our website and/or providing your personal information to us, you consent to us handling your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

 

Privacy Statement:

We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

  • name,
  • contact information,
  • location and delivery address,
  • computer / network,
  • interactions with us, and
  • transactions made on our website (order history if saved on your profile).

We collect your personal information to fulfill your orders, provide services related to those orders and let you know about our latest promotions/offers.

Providing some information is optional. However, if you choose not to enter your delivery address, email address, or phone number, we'll be unable to deliver products or send tracking updates to you. We keep your information safe by storing it in encrypted files and only allow our dedicated website team to access it. We keep your information for three years at which point we securely destroy it by erasing our dated digital files.

The Privacy Act 2020 (“Act”) sets out 13 information privacy principles (“Principles”). These Principles establish rules for the collection, storage, security, accuracy, use, and disclosure of personal information, as well as an individual’s rights to access, and correct, personal information. Onecheq Solutions Limited is committed to compliance with the principles. Information will only be collected for lawful purposes connected with a function or activity carried out by Onecheq. Set out below is further information on Onecheq’s Privacy Policy for collecting personal information from customers or members of the public.

Onecheq collects, holds, and uses personal information from the following groups of people:

  • Members of the public;
  • Customers;
  • Business relations; and
  • Employees

 

How do we collect your personal information? And why do we collect this?

We typically collect your personal information directly from you, to provide you with products and/or services requested by you. Other instances are where you have purchased products from us, but through our partner businesses (such as TradeMe and Reebelo).

Onecheq collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information for a number of purposes connected with our business operations, which include:

  • dealing with requests, enquiries, complaints, consumer guarantee or warranty claims, and other customer care related activities;
  • Marketing and promoting our current and future services to clients, customers, and potential customers. This can include (but is not limited to) advertising, direct marketing, other promotions, and social media engagement;
  • providing advice on our products;
  • developing and improving our products and services;
  • in connection with our loyalty or reward programmes and competitions;
  • the operation and administration of accounts or subscriptions that you have with us;
  • carrying out any activity in connection with a legal, governmental, or regulatory requirement that we have to comply with, or in connection with legal proceedings, crime or fraud prevention, detection, or prosecution.

 

Website Information

Onecheq collects information about visits to our website which is used to measure the number of visitors to different parts of the site and, for example, to measure the effectiveness of advertising. Although we collect and may publish aggregated information about usage patterns, we do not track individual user information or collect information about individual machines or link the information collected to any type of personal profile.

Onecheq uses Google Analytics to report on website traffic and does not track IP addresses, however, individuals may choose to disclose personal information by filling out an online enquiry form or creating a user profile.

Personally identifiable information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, if you provide personally identifiable information, cookies, and the data that they and other tracking technology collect may be connected to you using that information.

 

Social Media, Social Features and Logins

We may offer functionality that allows you to create or log into your account using a third-party service, such as Facebook or Google. If you choose to make use of a third-party service for creating or logging into your account or otherwise use any social media features, we make available, we may access information about you via that third party. Information we receive may include your public profile information, such as your profile picture, gender, birthday, email address, phone number, profile ID, and name (if you have made that information available on your public profile).

Generally, you can restrict what information is made available via third-party services by updating your privacy settings with the provider. We encourage you to review your privacy settings and the relevant provider’s privacy policy.

When you follow or like our social media channels or like, comment on, share or otherwise interact with any of our posts or other content on our social media channels, you may provide information to us about yourself, including your name, profile information and profile picture. The information that you make available can often be controlled through the settings for your account on the relevant social media platform.

Our social media channels are public and everything you share on our posts can be seen by everyone else. Please do not share any personal, confidential, or sensitive information when posting or commenting on any of our social media channels.

 

Storage of Information and Data Security

Onecheq will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that all personal information is securely protected against loss, unauthorized access, and misuse. This includes computer and network security, communications security, and personnel security. We have put in place physical, electronic, and organisational processes to protect your personally identifiable information. Only authorised employees, agents, and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) are granted access to this information.

All emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt-out of further mailings. Onecheq may use third-party applications (Software as a Service) for the purposes of providing services to their customers. Where used, Onecheq assesses the ability of third-party providers to ensure their data security principles are in accordance with relevant privacy laws. Payment Security

Onecheq does not store or process any payment information. This is done by third-party providers, and their terms of service and privacy policy apply.

 

Change, delete, or correct personal information

You are able to view, change or delete personal information held by Onecheq in the "Accounts & Lists" section of our website. However, to change or delete personal information provided to us via a third party in connection with the use of social media functionality (such as Facebook or Google logins) or have purchased the product via our partner businesses, you will need to update your details or privacy settings with that provider.

Onecheq may refuse you access to personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act if (among other things):

  • Releasing it would breach somebody else’s privacy,
  • or if it could put somebody else in danger;
  • if the information is not readily retrievable; and
  • if the information does not exist or cannot be found.

 

Privacy Officer

In accordance with the requirements of the Act, Onecheq has appointed the Operations Manager as the Privacy Officer. The Privacy Officer has statutory obligations to:

  • encourage and ensure Onecheq’s compliance with the Principles;
  • deal with any requests made to Onecheq for access to and/or correction of personal information;
  • deal with any complaints about possible privacy breaches; and
  • act as Onecheq’s liaison with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Onecheq may change this Privacy Policy at any time by changing or removing existing terms or adding new ones. Changes may take the form of a completely new Privacy Policy. We will notify you about any changes we make by posting an updated Privacy Policy on our website. Any changes will immediately come into effect from the date such policy is posted.
